To get the most flavor and color into your dish you need to caramelize. In a nutshell, caramelization is the process by which sugars react in the presence of high heat. The result: your food is beautifully browned and deeply flavored. This is a very easy process, but you do need to be careful and not burn your food.

What you need

  • Sauté pan
  • Oil
  • Whatever food you want caramelized

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

·Sauté pan
·Oil
·Whatever food you want caramelized

  1. Heat the pan first, around medium to high heat.
  2. Then you add your oil to a warm pan. Once the oil is in the pan, it’s time to add your food.
  3. Cook slowly and stir frequently as this will bring out the natural sugars and flavor in the food.
